Afro-Cuban Salsa Congress

MUSIC - The basis of dancing:

This will be the main focus of all the teaching in all workshops during the congress. The focus will be on improving dance ability through attention to the music, its rhythm and percussion base.

You will learn how to...
  • recognise and interpret Salsa music while on the dance floor
  • dance with the drum, base, with the claves or congas
  • use patterns & hand techniques in timing with music
  • have fun with music alone or with a partner on the dance floor.
As  you  know:
Salsa dancing is first, second and lastly about the music! No matter what salsa dance style we do, it's about the Salsa music and staying on the beat.
